Brown Rice Recovery Salad

Looking to try things different and give your blender a rest following your workout. This recovery salad I made hits the sport and addresses the main areas of recovery. This salad is focused around simplicity in whole real plant goodness. What’s nice is that it is under 7 ingredients. Definitely give this a try and let me know how it turns out!

Targeted areas of proper recovery that need to be addressed:

-Glycogen stores
-Replenish electrolyte stores
-Hormonal balance
-Lower joint and muscle inflammation
-Support immune function
-Promote protein synthesis


Here is the recipe:
-1 bunch organic kale; dinosaur or lacinato style kale
-1/2 cup cooked brown rice or sprouted brown rice for increased digestibility and higher protein content
-2 to 4 Tbsp of goji berries
-2 to 4 Tbsp hemp seeds
-1 tsp kelp granules
-2 Tbsp Vega Anti-oxidant Omega Oil
-1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar


***Directions***
1) Chop up the dinosaur or lacinato Kale into your desired shape and size
2) Get your goji berries and hemp seeds and toss into the kale salad
3) Prepare the oil and vinegar by combining both then giving it a good shake in a mason jar or shake bottle
4) Pour dressing on to the salad mixture then give it some generous salad tosses to get everything mixed up real well. Then serve in a beautiful bowl and enjoy! 🙂

Turmeric Recovery Smoothie

Hey guyz! First off wanted to say that this is my first post ever! Pretty sweet stuff! I can’t say how I pumped I am have to you come along with me on this journey of becoming the best, most robust version yourself through the most cutting edge nutrition, fitness, biohacking, wellness, personal development and so much more!


I can’t wait to see where this goes and the connections and relationships I gain with you guys. So without further ado. No better way to start this off right than with this killer recovery smoothie using one of my most favorite ingredients, Turmeric!


This smoothie was inspired by not only its tremendous depth of research and what it can help support for the mind and body, but also its rather interesting color! Let’s do this… shall we!?

Turmeric Burst Recovery Smoothie:

1 cup organic coconut milk
1/2 organic raw coconut water
1/2 to 1 frozen banana
1 scoop of Vega Sport Protein Vanilla
1 packet Gaia Turmeric Boost Restore
1 tsp ceylon cinnamon
1 tsp turmeric
1/8 tsp ginger or 1 drop of ginger essential oil (make sure the oil can be ingested internally)
dash of sea salt and a couple grinds of black pepper

Put all ingredients into a blender and blend till desired consistency. This smoothie yields approximately 2 to 3 cups depending on how much frozen fruit you add.

***If you would like to increase the sweetness and lend more of a vanilla caramelish flavor. You could add around 2 to 2.5 Medjool dates to the party!***
